Tiger was caught today! The animal shelter is checking to see if he has an owner
(via Seitsuki)
I’ve been following Tiger’s story from the start and omg it has the happiest ending!
Originally, she wasn’t planning on keeping Tiger because her landlord didn’t allow pets. So she got in touch with a rescue, they trapped Tiger and got him to a vet to make sure he was healthy. The rescue placed him with a foster to get him used to living indoors and sent her updates. A few weeks later, her landlord agreed to make an exception to the pet policy and let her keep Tiger.
He got out once but he came right back and he’s been a happy cuddly house cat since. He knows he’s home
Historically, when performing long, repetitive tasks like churning butter or weaving cloth, people would sit together and tell stories. Folk stories, fairytales, and even stories about mysterious ape-like figures living in the forests. So, yes, pioneer women did listen to podcasts about bigfoot while churning butter

Merry Christmas (says the heathen)
This is obviously about Phasmophobia but I actually prefer it with no context
POV: Ethel brings you a leaf
do you know how thrilled i was to realise this has audio and the audio is gorgeous???
Did I win??
hey a local town actually did this!
they planted berries, root vegetables, leafy greens, herbs, all sorts. they label each plant and the sign said “free to take, leave some for others to enjoy!”
and people did. they took a bit, but left some for others.
it also fed the homeless people living around there.
bearing in mind this is a tourist town, so i half expected to see the plants gone. but nope, there’s always some left.
people aren’t naturally selfish, and they will share. the initiative works
2020 has officially been the longest and shortest year I feel like I’ve dissociated through the entire thing my soul is still in april

i cant think of the fact that humans send messages saying ’where are you? who are you?’ from earth to the giant and empty space all around us for too long because it makes me cry so hard and feel so human and lonely
things that humans have sent to space as a friendly gesture that make me cry my eyes out:
- whale songs
- sounds of footsteps, laughter and a kiss
- an hour-long recording of the brainwaves of someone who was, among other thoughts, thinking about what it is like to fall in love
- an illustration of two people holding hands
- so many sentences in almost 60 languages, including these: ’Friends of space, how are you all? Have you eaten yet? Come visit us if you have time.’ ’Greetings from a computer programmer in a small university town on planet Earth.’ ’Are you well?’ ’We are happy here and you be happy there.’ ’How’s everyone? We all very much wish to meet you, if you’re free please come and visit.’ ’Wishing you happiness, health and many years.’ ’Welcome home. It is a pleasure to receive you.’
me: women are scrutinized over every aspect of their being and are taught from birth to be self conscious about their face, their eyes, their nose, their lips, the way they sound, the way they laugh, how they do their hair, how they do their makeup, what their body looks like, what they wear, what they don’t wear, how they greet you, how they celebrate, how they eat….
man who is very intelligent: well movies created by men about their own male power fantasies expect me to have abs. it goes both ways
